Mockboard!!

Hey, so I thought my password wasn't working, but I just wasn't clicking to accept the terms. Duh, anyway....I've gotta get caught up! February 13th was mockboard day and my board patient was coming in so I could clean a quad of him. Well, he didn't SHOW!!!! I was so bugged. He wasn't answering his phone or anything. So, I just thought I was going to not have the experience. I was scheduled to go in the morning but then I called a patient that I had scheduled later on and he could come in at 12:30. He was a mockboard patient last year so that was so my luck! He came in and qualified and I totally passed with 88%!! I was so excited. I really was just so glad to have the experience and to know that I actually CAN do this! Oh p.s., my board patient got in a car accident that day. I hope he is telling the truth. I may have to wave some money in front of his face :)

Another no show...

Hey, well I guess you know what happened this morning! :) My coworker/friend was supposed to come in and he didn't show! Today is supposed to be my simulation day so I have another patient coming in at 10. I called to see if she could come earlier since I had a no-show but she can't...so Kristen and I practiced injections on each other and now I'm just waiting for my patient. This afternoon I have my mom and my step mom coming in for cleanings. They're easy enough, so it shouldn't be too stressful. I hope that my 10:00 patient is still a 1B because I will only have a little over an hour to spend on her!!!! Wish me luck.....

....ok, so all the rest of my patients came! I'm done with my 1B's now. I wish I could get some 3's and 4's in here. Everything went pretty well except I was really rushed with my 10 am patient. Her mouth was really little and she couldn't really bite down on my xray, so you can't really see her bone levels. She did have a full mouth taken about a year ago so I think we're pretty safe. Well, goodbye for another week :)
