Radiology Bitewings and Exploring...what a day!!!

This morning in Radiology we took some more xrays. I think this is probably the most challenging thing for me so far. Last week I didn't know what the heck I was doing. After a little bit of help I was able to take my first xrays! I was really excited. Last time I only got 2 that were keepers. Today I was able to get 5 more. I finished a set of horizontal and vertical bitewings. I still am confused as how to really take PA's but I will try to study up on that over the weekend and figure it out before I have to do it. I think one thing that would have been helpful for those of us who haven't taken these before, is to actually see it be done. It's one thing to talk about it but something totally different to be shown and walked through. I just have to ask questions I guess.

In clinic today, we just did Exploring on a fake mouth. If you've ever seen the Langoliers, these mouths totally reminded me of that movie! Freaky, anyway..it was fun to try to figure out the technique and angles you have to explore with. I'm going to sterilize some instruments for this weekend and have some "appointments" with my family to practice all of the things we've done so far. They are such good sports!

I'm sure you are doing a great job! I'm having quite a tough time on those xrays too, I feel so far behind everyone else. But it will come to us in time, right?! Good luck. We'll make it :)
